Need A Vacation Already!
Tuesday, May 5th, 2009
The first week of May hasn’t even begun and I’m already tired. I’ve taken two weeks off from events and I’m already more worn out from my break! I need to get back on the road and start playing again so I can regain my strength! If I wasn’t working at Ibis, I was either playing in a pro-am, practicing, or moving out of my apartment. I have crammed more things to get done in a week then I have I think the entire winter.
But am I complaining? No way! Actually, I really enjoy being busy. It keeps me on my toes and convinces me even more that playing golf professionally is was what I love doing! I mean, in the off season, I get a job at a golf course! True, I take advantage of the free playing privileges. However, I’m sure I could work something else out if I wanted to get another job over the winter doing something other then golf. But why? I love being surrounded by golf 24/7. Even in the shower, I have taken practices swings! And don’t lie, I know some of you have done that!
So let’s see, the past couple weeks have been pretty hectic. I got a wonderful opportunity to play Jupiter Island CC last week in Florida for a pro am. I had a wonderful group who were a lot of fun. It’s always nice to have a relaxing day on the course with great company! Shortly after that, I had to finish up my last week working at Ibis. I was happy not to be working anymore and on a set schedule. But, I really enjoyed the great group of people I worked with. They’re always so much fun and something unusual seems to happen every day! I’ll miss you guys a bunch! Thank you to Ryan L., Ryan G., Brad, Denise, Darren, Kyle, Ken, Grayson, Sean, Chris, Ruth, & Dan, for making my stay there so great!
Currently, I am on my way back from Memphis, TN where I was participating in yet another pro am! Finally, tomorrow I can relax. I will not be picking up a club, driving my car, or doing very much for that matter for a day or so. I need to just sleep for a very long time! I will back out on the road in less than two weeks to go to Kansas. I can’t wait to get there and get into a good routine. Kansas kind of reminds me of PA so I never mind traveling there. I’ll let you know next week how my visit was with the parents and if they were ready to kick me out after my stay! Ha ha. Take care!
